One-of-a-kind antique freshwater cultured pearl necklace featuring an amazing 14 karat gold clasp. The clasp featuring twelve clear pearls surrounded by very fine filigree, which is very skillfully handcrafted and gives the impression of lace or fine embroidery. The refined clasp has rope motifs around the pearls and a beautifully scalloped border. The strand pearls are drop-shaped and approximately 0.6 millimeters in diameter. The longest string is 39.5 centimeters, included the clasp. Some strings are strung a little looser. 
 
Brown material is shown on the backside. In the past they used to fill the inside of the clasp for more firmness of the thin gold or to prevent for any dents. A bit of it is gone, but it will not effect the shape of it and will not be visible when you would wear this gorgeous necklace. 
 
The gold has the Dutch purity hallmark.
