Gorgeous Dutch 14 karat gold jet stick pins. These handcrafted pins comprised of very fine filigree applied on black facet jet. On top a filigree flower adorned and on the sides beautifully filigree, the so called spiders. The gold is very skillfully handcrafted and gives the impression of fine lace. Below the facet jet a 14 karat gold rosette is placed. The gilded pin is beautifully twisted from top to bottom.
 
This is a so-called mourning pin and belong to the regional dress in The Netherlands. These pins were worn in pairs and were pushed backwards into the hat above the forehead needle on both sides between the curls of the ear iron. This kind of hat pins were worn by women in some parts of the Netherlands as part of the regional dress, while they were in mourning of a loved one.
