This magnificent antique Dutch male wedding band ring features diamond-shaped figures and a religious cross. This 14 karat gold band ring is from around 1890-1900. The ring, with his religious symbol, was used exclusively in the four Roman Catholic villages in South Beveland, Zeeland. In general, a decorative ring which were worn in large parts of Zeeland, in the south of The Netherlands.
This type of rings already existed in the 18th century and became wider and wider. The has an inscription engraved, the initials P.R.M. and date 1912. One-of-a-kind and truly a statement piece. The ring comes in a beautiful jewelry box.
