This 14 karat yellow gold necklace pendant is adorned with seven faceted garnet gemstones. The pendant has two cloverleaf-shaped forms, in Dutch called 'Walcherse strikken'. With etched round-shaped figures on both sides. The front side is adorned with seven beautiful faceted garnets. These bells are also-called currant bells.
Walcher women from Zeeland - region in the southern part of The Netherlands - put on a golden brace an 'ear iron', with golden curls on both sides at the front, which protrude next to the forehead. On these curls were hung the so called "strikken" mostly worn on Sundays or public holidays.
