Beautiful antique 18 karat gold knitting needle caps on a jasseron chain. These caps were used for knitting tools and were hung on a chatelaine. The caps are beautiful detailed with fine filigree and granulation. 
 
Knitting caps were, when pausing knitting, put on the needles to prevent the knitting could slid from the needles. Such caps were sporadic made in gold, usually made in silver. The length of these caps are 4.5 centimeters and weighs 12 grams.
