This lovely antique filigree drop-shaped 14 karat gold brooch features seven bright seed pearls. The brooch has very fine detailed filigree, adorned with the so called 'spiders', which is very skillfully handcrafted and gives the impression of lace or fine embroidery. The brooch has a beautiful scalloped border.
 
Seed pearls reached the height of popularity in the Victorian Era. Pearls add femininity, refinement, and sophistication to the jewelry. The Victorians adored using jewelry as symbolic sentiments and as a sign of purity.
