This antique Etruscan Revival-style silver filigree choker necklace has fifteen gorgeous silver link panels. Which has a refined decoration with spiral wound thin silver thread wired, the so-called ‘spiders’, set on a surface with many little 'bells' underneath.
Fun fact - The technique of this filigree choker looks spectacular, doesn't it? The cradle of filigree and granulation techniques - granules - lies in Syria. They were the Etruscans - the inhabitants of Etruria, that is present-day Tuscany, Umbria and Latina in Italy - who imported the filigree and granulation techniques to Europe and 'perfected' them a little over 3000 years ago! The Etruscans also decorated their jewelry with 'spiders'.
