Gorgeous antique silver 800/000 cuff bracelet with oriental influences, the Etruscan Revival. The bracelet has a refined decoration with spiral wound thin silver thread wired to the so-called ‘spiders’. Those spiders are set on the entire bracelet. The bracelet has a hinge and screw closure.

The technique of this filigree bracelet looks spectacular. The cradle of filigree technique and granulation technique - granules - lies in Syria. They were the Etruscans - the inhabitants of Etruria, that is present-day Tuscany, Umbria and Latina in Italy - who imported the filigree and granulation techniques to Europe and 'perfected' them a little over 3000 years ago. The Etruscans also sometimes decorated their jewelry with 'spiders'.
